Two ways to move it.

By sea

For most cargo from the USA, including machinery, equipment, plastics and vehicles. A full container (20ft, 40ft, 40HC) when you have the volume, a shared container when you don't, and consolidation when you buy from several suppliers, so everything travels as one shipment with one set of documents.

Cargo from the East Coast crosses the Atlantic into the Mediterranean and arrives at Alexandria, El Dekheila, Damietta or Port Said, on a direct service or through a transshipment port. Cargo from Houston or the West Coast often connects through a transshipment port on the way.

Sea freight

By air

For urgent, light or high-value cargo such as spare parts, medical equipment and electronics. Flights from New York, Washington and other US airports land at Cairo Airport, direct or through a hub in Europe or the Gulf, and our branch works in the Cargo Village.

Questions about shipping from the USA.

Do you ship household moves or personal parcels from the USA?

Household moves, yes: we ship personal effects and furniture as freight, by sea or air, as well as commercial cargo for businesses, and clear customs in Egypt. For a single small parcel or an online order, a courier or parcel forwarder suits you better.

Which US ports do you ship from?

Mainly the East Coast: New York and New Jersey, Norfolk, Savannah and Charleston. Houston suits suppliers in Texas and the South, and Los Angeles and Long Beach serve the West Coast, often with a transshipment on the way. Collection from your supplier anywhere in the USA can be arranged.

Do goods from the USA pay lower customs duty in Egypt?

No. Egypt has no free trade agreement with the USA, so goods of US origin pay Egypt's standard duty and VAT. We check the HS code and the duty with you before the goods ship.

What does my supplier in the USA need to do?

Send a commercial invoice, a packing list and the bill of lading or air waybill, file the export data in AES when the shipment needs it, and upload the shipping documents on CargoX against the ACID you register on Nafeza. We tell you which documents your goods need before they ship.
