Who registers the ACID?
The importer in Egypt, on Nafeza, using the supplier's proforma invoice. The supplier abroad then uploads the shipping documents on CargoX under that number.
Which port should my goods come into?
The one that fits your carrier's route and where the goods go in Egypt. Alexandria, El Dekheila, Damietta and Port Said are on the Mediterranean, Sokhna is on the Red Sea, and air cargo lands at Cairo Airport.
How are customs duties worked out?
From the customs value of the goods and their tariff (HS) code, plus VAT and any fees. We estimate duties up front; the final figure is what customs assesses.
My freight is booked with someone else. Can you still clear it?
Yes. Shipping with us, clearance is part of the same booking. Freight booked elsewhere, we clear it on its own.
